Abstract
Endosulfan 35 % EC was evaluated for effects on reproductive organs and accessory sex glands in Wistar rats following oral administration of 2.5, 5.0 and 10 mg/kg/day endosulfan 35% EC for 28 consecutive days. The rats were euthanized, reproductive organs/accessory sex glands such as gonads (ovaries and testes), accessory sex organs (uterus including cervix, epididymides, seminal vesicles with coagulation glands, dorsolateral and ventral prostate) were collected, weighed and subjected for evaluation of microscopic changes. The result of the present study indicated that Endosulfan 35% EC did not show any significant effect on the reproductive organs or accessory sex organs with respect to changes in weight or in the histopathology.
