EDITORIAL -VOL. 3, ISSUE 3

EDITORIAL

We are glad to share that SCIIPUB authors club is growing; more and more authors will have access to our new scientific portal which will be launched soon.
In this issue we bring you diverse articles. Mucuna pruriens Linn is a twinning herb, climbing legume with long, thin branches and opposite, trifoliolate, lanceolate leaves 15-30 cm length that is found in the tropics. The root of Mucuna pruriens is reported to be used in Northern part of Nigeria in the management of convulsion. One of the research article studies its anticonvulsant activity.
Kalanchoe pinnata (Family: Crassulaceae) has been used in ethno medicine in various indications like earache, burns, abscesses, ulcers, insect bites, whitlow, diarrhoea and cithiasis. Its role in antidiabetic activities is also presented here.
Another interesting article is a nutraceutical class of extract CR002 can inhibit testosterone-induced hyperplasia of the prostate and therefore may be beneficial in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
I hope these articles will bring significance, of herbals and nutraceuticals, in treatment of various disease conditions, to the fore front.

Sincerely
J.N. Singh
